It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

What is the big deal with Christmas? I mean really, nobody goes to church anymore until midnight on Christmas eve when magically many people are reminded what the last 2 months shopping is meant to be about albeit through rose tinted and alcohol hazed glasses. Anyway the Christians stole the festivities from Pagans who decorated trees during winters darkest period and Santa's image was ingrained into the christmas psyche by Coca Cola. Jesus was apparently born in the summer time. Hmm!

The big day arrives after months of brainwashing into spending a fortune and we have to suffer the little children in hospital as we are surrounded by the torn wrapping paper that cost the lives of 1000's of trees only to return to earth once again. Then racked with guilt for spending too much money, we are then told by the bent UK media we should feel guilty for not spending too much and that sales are down on last year and doom and gloom and we are all going to die!!!!!  Followed by adverts for summer holidays and Cadbury Creme Eggs at every opportunity. Mum, who has been brow beating us since August to write a list the length of the Bayeux Tapestry agrees that its all a waste and almost looks like she may make a move to stop this wasteful event through a sense of relief that it is all over at 2pm. Yes months and months of worry and nagging and endless shopping and planning for what?

Mum and dad try to recreate an episode of the Walton's  without the frugality or the dungerees, yet clearly remember christmas past. Dad announces they don't know how many they have left which in turns generates a notion of guilt for daring to not wish to be a sheep and follow the crowd as though I was the spawn of the devil, conveniently forgetting the first two born.  I collect my nan who is really frail these days. Mum, executive producer, director writer and coordinator tells everybody they shouldn't have as she acknowledges her gifts, that they should save their money and proceeds to runs around checking everyone has enough sprouts, more mash more roasts a la Peter Kaye.  Dad, chief boy and fund raiser, embraces the moment and clearly remembers his christmas past rebuking any comments he does not approve of with a reminder he will die one day.  My sister smiles and jollies it through the event with a controlled demeanor that has always amazed me.  Then the big pack up commences. Mum, armed with 37 tupperware tubs begins the big left over packing ensuring nan has enough food to see her through to February.  A simple meal would suffice but mum inisits on 4 courses thus creating her own headache through a notion of wanton expectation that does not exist. 

For me however, I see it for what it really is. It's a commercial exercise. Even the very few people who engage with religion are caught out by it.  Thankfully, when it is over, my best bud OB parks himself on the couch, we wang a DVD on and have copious amounts of the alcohol. Now that is what Christmas means to me, relief it is all over and the world can get back to some kind of normailty. Meanwhile sheep are bleating humbug!

Global Governance

I'm so pleased Obama is to be the next US president. Not, however, because I am under the illusion that the puppeteers who pull the global strings have disappeared. No! Mr Obama is indeed a puppet like all Presidents and Prime Ministers before him. He WILL tow the line you can guarantee it. There will be the pursuance of the Anglo US goal for global domination. Brown even used the term "Global Governance" many times recently. You see you keep dropping a line into a conversation and sheep people will eventually bleat the same and accept it. You can just hear the conversations down the pub. "Well its all about global governance Kyle!"  "That's right Colin, it is, bloody foreigners, need us to control em!"  Oh aye Kyle. Another pint? You off to t'match Saturday?"

The controlling people have created the illusion of change by bringing in a new man with no ties (or has he?) to continue the pursuance of their goals.  To bring a mixed race (aren't all Americans?) man in guarantees that people will get off their butts and vote. Why? Because he says the word 'change' a lot. A very lot. You just had to see how the voters in the US said 'change' when they were interviewed by the Beeb. This has planted the notion firmly in their minds that America will be different, will change. Erm I doubt it very much indeed. America, or should that be Britain or should that be the controllers are on a mission. They are protecting themselves and their future existence. They are creating a new illusion in order to win around the masses. But you can guarantee that US/UK troops and there hangers on will still go a plundering round the planet. Yes people, the pursuance of whoever still intends to gain whatever in their mission. 

Are you stupid? No Really a serious question. I mean you don't really believe that George W Bush was in control do you? Do you? Really? Wow! I mean he is as thick as pig shit. You don't need me to tell you that. George W Bush, one of the two faces of global terrorism? Wow! You're pretty gullable but then you can just say oh I don't know, conspiracist!  Oh someone else said conspiracist then and another and the lady in the red hat and the gentleman with the Man UTD top. So it must be right then. Why? Because you said so because they said so. You just repeat what the consensus feels or says. Most people don't think outside the box at all. Perfectly happy to plod on and tow the line.  Perfectly happy to dismiss a notion if it doesn't belong in generally held belief section of your brain taking comfort from the other bleats and baas that sound similar to yours. Perfectly happy to be a sheep. And its understandable really. I mean humans are generally tribalistic and need to feel they belong. In belonging, they will do what they need to do to remain part of the group or the outsider be. Ok. What about Reagan or Clinton? Come off it now.  Gordon Brown then! Come on Gordon Brown, he hasn't even stood for an election but he has just walked into the job. Does he think he is the British stepping into India declaring that he will take over from here on?  Global governance. Or has something else enabled him to walk right in? I mean how democratic was that? From the Labour party? Oh that's New Labour isn't it? The Labour party principles had to be dropped in order to win and election and win over the masses. Proof in itself that their policies were outdated, unrealistic and no longer the need of the proletariat. Because people were told we needed to spend billions on nuclear defence and we needed to fund the poor countries of Europe by joining the EEC I mean EU or was that it was our only way to survive as, at that stage, we were not an official state of the US. Maybe we should?

A new world order had been created. The ability to create any illusion and act upon it in order to create the illusion of security. Global governance. I mean look at the state of the world now. Surely you can see it is all manufactured in order to bring about change, line the pockets of the few even more than already and create for you, the notion that everything is OK. What about disarming the nuclear weapons or pulling out of the EU. Two major issues that Labour allegedly would do the moment they won an election.  But then at the time we were told the Russians were going to nuke us at any moment as though the unbelievable devastation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not ingrained in the minds of anyone with an open mind. What kind of world would it be if only a few people survived and the planet was in total devastation?  But we were still carrying out nuclear bomb alert tests at school. All sat safely cross legged under our desks safe in the knowledge the the school desk would protect us from the monster bomb. We had to have the capability to respond by wiping out the major cities of the world, hence our fleet of nuclear subs that still tour the seas of the world today and are about to be upgraded again at the cost of billions and billions of our money. 

Are you blind? No really are you blind? I mean Universities have researched the histories of the peoples who pull the strings and have proven their lines go way back to Britain mainly and other European states but predominantly Britain. From there, their blood links go way back to the Romans and they in turn go way back even further back in time.  There is evidence that the people of ancient Mesopotamia moved out and formed the people that rule us today. Now where is Mesopotamia? Global governance. Iraq that's it. Just a new name same land. Which country is next door?  Turkey that's it. Turkey, two thirds of which is not on the European plate, yet Tony Blair was at the fore of its future membership of the European Union.  So I presume that any country politically useful could join the club. Did someone shout get off my land then?

So whilst the jubilation goes on, and people across three continents try to take ownership of him as theirs remember HE doesn't define himself as anything other than American. So he has a trace of Irish on his white side (surely American), there is already a single celebrating the fact he is "Irish." How desperate and how sad!  Thankfully, the Brits have never ever sung and danced at this little fact. For it would almost fill the top 40 if each song was in the charts for each President, but then we have the Queen!  Think about it!  I suggest people wait one term of office to see if America is really changing or if its just another illusion. I'm not holding my breath.

Rossgate

OK Calm down!  CALM DOWN PEOPLE!

Yes Ross acted like a fool and yes Brand is just a totally talentless self promoting scruffy tart of a bandwagon for people to jump . But anyone would think that they had committed murder. And when was it ok to presume 72 year old men were no longer capable of a joke? After all  Sachs' is pretty much famous for being the recipient of workplace bullying and violence, surely he could see that Ross and Twat were joking. Or does being in your 70's render you totally at the mercy of the media's minds eye? 

Of course this has enabled people to bring up the question of salaries particularly Ross on 6 million squillion pounds a year which is the takings from the old lady muggings on a Nottingham council estate and Brand who was on about half a squillion quid extorted from the hairdressers of Leicester, Accrington Stanley and the Wirral.  Seemingly the proletariat feels that their tenner a month enables them to take control of the BBC. As they feel they could do it for half the price. Wrong!  Do people really want a BBC that pays office worker salaries to its presenters or do they want to compete in a market where its uniqueness does more to raise its own profile than anything else?

Listen people, the BBC is the oldest largest and richest broadcasting organisation in the whole world. It is the envy of other broadcasters and provides a wealth of informative and entertaining programming on its various platforms thanks to its unique funding method. It does this as a proud representation of the UK. The Brits voted the BBC the best British brand in the country. It must be doing something right to be this envied and admired. Like any massive organisation, it is made up of humans and they are not infallible rather like the many who protested. Surely a rational mind would realise that this was a huge mistake and politely cringe it out. There are far more serious issues affecting the broadcasting world, not exclusively the exploitation of young actors who are seemingly required to drop their pants and expose themselves in almost every TV drama as a passage of rights and for the pleasure of the writers. it's just a shame that sheep people can only bleet after hearing of two sheep who happened to bleet first.  I, for one, want my Friday nights back!

AILING ITV

Ailing TV broadcaster ITV  looks set to sell part of itself to RTL owner of "Five". It's such a shame that the former powerhouse is now just a pathetic shadow of it's former self. So strange that it was bigger and richer long before any stupid notions of corporate branding and multi channel platforms existed. Maybe, just maybe it has to do with the quality of its programmes and the alienation of its audience. Today I rarely watch ITV except the X Factor and that is it.  The broadcaster was established as a set of 16 independent TV stations whose remit was to reflect and serve the regions they are contracted to.  Increasingly it has tried to re-brand itself as ITV (and failed on both occasions) assuming the British public are a bit thick.  But in doing so, they are giving the finger to the very act that brought abut its existence.  The only remnant of its former and pre-designed self, was regional news. (I'm more Look North myself) and that is the very area where ITV in its pathetic wisdom looks to make a saving of 40 million squillion big ones. By axing many of its regional news facilities. Hmmm! Makes sense that.  Whilst I don't feel the need for ITV to exist thanks mainly to the wonderful BBC, it does. It should hang on to the thread of its purpose by being the best at regional news. Let's face it, it is pretty crap at everything else but sleaze and deception.   If it is to be saved, loose the mong at the top who has thus far done nothing but increase it's negative imagery not enhance it.

Oh! And try Martin Lambie-Nairn for a decent branding job. Then you may not need to change the 'look' every so often. Still, it detracts from cheap and tacky programming.

I'm waving the flag!

I was watching Ian MacMillan on a sunday morning show on BBC 1 last weekend  ( I forget the name and where the hell is the Radio Times when you need it) he makes his fortune selling naff poems in his cliche ridden accent, and he actually said something that has miffed me for some time. 

It seems that there is a whole plethora of people out there who feel so ashamed of being British that they chose to deny most people the right to have an ancestral line that goes back further than the 1950's.  It's all well and good when you are trying to engage with people who may have settled in England during the past 50 years or so. Almost like wiping the slate clean and giving everybody an equal starting post.  

Now I know that England particularly but the whole of the UK has welcomed peoples from far and wide during the last century  and I am well in favour of it. It enriches our country and for that reason alone I love it here.  I would hate to live in the England of the 1940's for example. For a variety of reasons including the state slaughter of men and the fact that there were no people from the Asian sub continent and other parts of the commonwealth.  It seems people just wish to shed any notion of an ancestral line longer than 50 years. And it's not the newer communities who do this.  No! It's the people who like to think for other people and somehow harbour a notion of guilt particularly linked to the British Empire. 

There is a widely held belief that whilst the British were building their empire, everybody in England was living in a mansion and eating cucumber sandwiches in the garden out of china pots whilst villagers danced and hit sticks in the air. The Scots were dancing around crossed swords and the Welsh were singing whilst they yanked leaks out of the ground. The harsh reality is that the majority of Brits were working in unbelievable conditions  and living in squalor to pay the taxes that built a rich Britian. This in turn enabled the 300 or so people who were the British Empire to step out and start trading with the world whilst 'treading' on a few feet to say the least. 

I digress. It would seem that many people need to feel like everybody is at the same starting post and I have even heard (heaven forbid) some Asian people use it in an arguement on one of the BBC forums. This surprised me greatly but then it is very easy to use this tool in an arguement as the influential peers empower you to do so. At any opportunity some idiot or other will wind up the proletariat by announcing that they have only just begun to exist. And yet, there is hardly a place on the planet where the movement of a regions peoples have not gone un-noticed. 

Indeed, look at the wonder of India and look at it's peoples whose history and background is as diverse as the UK or anywhere else. Look to the lighter skinned more oriental eyed people in the North East and the differences in people from the north west and the south. Look to Africa to see evidence of people movement.  Look at newer countries like NZ with its 78% British population and the Maoris.  People consider the Maoris indigenous but they settled having sailed south from Polynesia centuries before the Brits got there.  Is that the starting point then?  The northern French are viking in decent (Norman!) The white North Africans are Euro - Arabic in decent as well as the mix of the African and Arab. The 'native' Americans moved north from south American tribes. The Russians are of viking decent but move across the country and wallow in the wonder of it's blood lines fusing from its European blood to that of China and Mongolia.  India was once attached to south America, the Aboriginies were aboriginal somewhere else once upon a time.  In fact all peoples are fused by blood and not dictated by geographical lines that are man made.   Yet 5000 years of history and the Brits who are European ethnically speaking are only allowed to call themselves white. (Which the PC brigade felt the most appropriate name to apportion to the 650 million Europeans.) In doing so, you water down any notion of nationhood. Where did this come from?

So, now we have cleared that up, allow British people to be British. Have a Britain day and make it something that empowers all with the ability to embrace it without any PC notion of it having to be anything BUT British.  Get the flags out, get the beer out but make it accessible to all.  After all, Britain is ( I found this hard to believe too) the 6th greatest holiday destination in the world. (source wikipedia) as well as probably one of the top destinations for people to choose to come and work. Did you know Trafalga Square get's more tourists than Dysney Land USA and London is the worlds most visited city?  Do people outside see something more than we do? Why would that be? Think about it!

There is something Great about Britain and its just a shame that its a feeling that cannot be manifested by those who  feel duty bound to continually brow beat  the aboriginal populous, irrespective of their tribal origins, into a notion of subservient anonymity whilst celebrating the diversity and, in my opinion, the magnificence of newer Britons. For me, this pang of political correctness is a veil to a latent racism or snobbery,  outwardly portrayed to appease a none existent notion and create an appealing aura to its originator.

BRITISH TELECOM BAG OF PANTS

Do you know I despise companies like BT and all the utility companies that were privatised. All this enabled a few people to get unbelievably rich on the back of a former state owned business, (surely tax payers already owned it?) and some investors have the illusion that they are rich.

BT proved its worth on two grounds. When I first got the internet I took out their 'unlimited' service knowing I would be hammering the intenet. Unfortunately in BT land 'unlimited' means 16 hours of a 24 hour period! Whilst I do not deny that I later became aware that there it was in the small print, I was totally miffed by the way the BT CSR's were speaking to me like I had just sent their son's to their deaths in an illegal war. Which is contrary to the initial sale where a) the finite detail of the small print was not included in the sales pitch and b) it would have been quite difficult as the sales rep had her tongue firmly up my arse!

When there was the scandal associated with PC viruses stealing from it's customers who were then left with massive bills, BT didn't go after the thieves, probably too close to home!!! No, they went for the victims as it was a softer target. Unlike other countries who saw this for what it was, which was pure and simple theft. And BT, the Big Trusted company did nothing but come up with some kind of plan for people to repay. So they win win win. I wonder if anybody ever considered the notion that it could have been an inside job? 

I was lucky when BT stole from me. My bill was £300 big ones.  Lucky? Well some people had been charged £1000's.   So like most people after they have been burgled, they tend to change the locks on the doors and windows and I changed service provider. If I were French then the state telephone company would have indeed assured me and I would not have been left with a big bill. So I changed the locks metaphorically speaking. I switched to SKY Talk on the premise that they would inded be completely taking over the telephone service within the next 12 months. This never happened and eventually I switched to Talk Talk. This has proven to be the best choice I ever made. It just works. Pure and simple. No hassle, no unwanted sales calls no postie with a broken back as the bills comes through, no just perfect. Not a hitch in 12 months. But! BT thinks otherwise, and in it's monthly mailing to me telling me that buy now I will realise I have made a big mistake and that my new provider is crap! WRONG!  In fact I have never been happier with a phone company since Ionica first hit the streets before dropping at the first fence.  No BT, you're still shite and wild horses would never get me back to you you set of thieving bastards!   Now please stop the monthly mail shot, as, in your current issue that landed on my mat, you are determined to reduce paperwaste and therefore want my email address so you can drop your drivel in there too as well as sell it on to make more money for the set of thieving robbing bastards at the top! THINK AGAIN!
